Details: The Danish Deli will host a tasting of Beaujolais wine on Thursday 27 February at their premises in Luxembourg city centre.
Château Grande Grange is a Danish-owned vineyard situated close to Mont Brouilly in Beaujolais, 30 km north-west of Lyon. The vineyard lies on the outskirts of le Perréon - a charming little French village with 1,422 inhabitants. The village is one of 38 entitled to use the designation "Beaujolais Villages".
Marianne Phillip and Per Håkon Schmidt, both Danish, bought Château Grande Grange in 2009. Their great ambition was to develop a varied choice of wine and to draw attention to the different qualities of Beaujolais wines. Marianne and Per both work in a completely different field as lawyers in Copenhagen.
The winemaker from Château Grande Grange, Nicolas DIETRICH, will come and tell us about the wine making, Beaujolais and the wines from Grande Grange.
Included will be tasting of different white, red and rosé wines. There will be a buffet with cheeses, coold cuts, patés and other specialties served with the good cold raised bread from the Danish Deli's own bakery.
