Details:The Indian Business Chamber of Luxembourg, together with the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, are organising an evening conference on Thursday, 13 February 2014 at 18:00 on the topic of "Impact of Terrorism on Global Economy, Financial Markets & Tourism", at the Chambre de Commerce, (7 rue Alcide de Gasperi, Luxembourg-Kirchberg).

Terrorism has defined the world economy and regulatory response in a way never seen before. It takes myriad forms and is among the top three reasons for continued low confidence in the investing community leading to prolonged global economic depression with resultant impact on financial markets and tourism. The seminar shall address how businesses are overshadowed by the acts of terrorists, its consequential impact and suggestions about steps to insulating economy, financial markets & tourism.

Registration starts at 18:00. Presentations from 18:30 to 20:00, followed by networking cocktail.

SPEAKERS

Jagtar Basra: is the Vice President Business Development Security at CBRN Defence, UK. As a preferred speaker at major security events all over the world, he has been invited by various governments and global institutions to address on related topics at international conferences such as ACI Europe Summit, TranSec World Expo Conference, World Security Forums, Asia Professional Security associations, Overseas Security Advisory Council and many others.

Georges Bingen: is the Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg.  Earlier, from 1987-1994, he was an economic advisor at the Central Statistical and Economic Study Department of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Luxembourg. Later, he joined the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research as a scientific officer. He was appointed Head of Unit in 2000 where he was responsible first for the implementation of the Marie Curie Fellowships and later for the human resource policy in the European Research Area
