Details: Utopia S.A. is organising a Ciné Breakfast on Sunday 2 February 2014 at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg.
The Ciné Breakfast offer comprises five films that are being screened simultaneiusly at 11:00, with the cinema open from 10:30 for breakfast. The five films include:
- American Hustle (EN): The film tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld, who along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso. DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that's as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds. Irving's unpredictable wife Rosalyn could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down.

A son of Texas, Ron Woodroof is an electrician and rodeo cowboy. In 1985, he is well into an unexamined existence with a devil-may-care lifestyle. Suddenly, Ron is blindsided by being diagnosed as H.I.V.-positive and given 30 days to live. Yet he will not, and does not, accept a death sentence. His crash course of research reveals a lack of approved treatments and medications in the U.S., so Ron crosses the border into Mexico. There, he learns about alternative treatments and begins smuggling them into the U.S., challenging the medical and scientific community including his concerned physician, Dr. Eve Saks. An outsider to the gay community, Ron finds an unlikely ally in fellow AIDS patient Rayon, a transsexual who shares Ron's lust for life. Rayon also shares Ron's entrepreneurial spirit: seeking to avoid government sanctions against selling non-approved medicines and supplements, they establish a "buyers club," where H.I.V.-positive people pay monthly dues for access to the newly acquired supplies. Deep in the heart of Texas, Ron's pioneering underground collective beats loud and strong. With a growing community of friends and clients, Ron fights for dignity, education, and acceptance. In the years following his diagnosis, the embattled Lone Star loner lives life to the fullest like never before.
- Jack et la mécanique du coeur 3D (FR): Édimbourg 1874. Jack naît le jour le plus froid du monde et son cœur en reste gelé. Le Docteur Madeleine le sauve en remplaçant son cœur défectueux par une horloge mécanique. Il survivra avec ce bricolage magique à condition de respecter 3 lois: premièrement ne pas toucher à ses aiguilles, deuxièmement maîtriser sa colère et surtout ne jamais Ô grand jamais, tomber amoureux. Sa rencontre avec Miss Acacia, une petite chanteuse de rue, va précipiter la cadence de ses aiguilles. Prêt à tout pour la retrouver, Jack se lance tel un Don Quichotte dans une quête amoureuse qui le mènera des lochs écossais, à Paris jusqu'aux portes de l'Andalousie.
- Viva la liberta (FR): Enrico Oliveri, secrétaire général du parti de l’opposition est inquiet : les sondages le donnent perdant. Un soir, il disparaît brusquement laissant une note laconique. C’est la panique au sein du parti, tout le monde s’interroge pour essayer de comprendre les raisons de sa fuite pendant que son conseiller Andrea Bottini et sa femme Anna se creusent la tête pour trouver une solution. C’est Anna qui évoque en premier le nom du frère jumeau du secrétaire général, Giovanni Ernani, un philosophe de génie, atteint de dépression bipolaire. Andrea décide de le rencontrer et élabore un plan dangereux…
- Fünf Freunde 3 (DE): Eigentlich war ein entspannter Urlaub am Meer geplant, doch als George (Valeria Eisenbart), Julian (Quirin Oettl), Dick (Justus Schlingensiepen), Anne (Neele Marie Nickel) und Hund Timmy auf der schönen Urlaubsinsel in Thailand ankommen, wartet schon wieder ein Abenteuer auf die fünf Freunde: Während Onkel Quentin (Michael Fitz) seine Zeit mit wissenschaftlichen Recherchen verbringt, stoßen die Kinder auf ein versunkenes Schiff. In dem Wrack finden sie einen mysteriösen Kompass. Das auf der Insel lebende Mädchen Joe (Davina Weber) ist überzeugt, dass es sich um den Hinweis auf einen verborgenen Piratenschatz handeln muss. Als sich die Freunde mit dem Mädchen anfreunden, erfahren sie von dem Vorhaben des Investors Mr. Haynes (Sky du Mont), der Joes Familie von der Insel vertreiben und auf deren Grundstück ein riesiges Hotel aus dem Boden stampfen will. Um das zu verhindern, käme die Entdeckung eines Schatzes natürlich äußerst gelegen. Doch auch das Gangsterpärchen Cassi (Nora von Waldstätten) und Nick (Michael Kessler) hat es auf die wertvolle Fracht des Piratenschiffs abgesehen...
