Details: The LUXGSM World Balloon Trophy is first of all an international competition of hot air balloons, organized since 1996 by the Cercle Luxembourgeois de l’Aérostation asbl (CLA). 30 to 40 of the world's best pilots meet every year in Luxembourg to compete in one of the 8 most famous competition and even certified as a first class event by the Aeronautic Federation. Since the World Balloon Trophy is traditionally held just before the intercontinental or continental championships, it has become the event of reference for the pilot’s preparation. The World Balloon Trophy is not just a sporting event of very high level. In fact a free, colourful show, various activities and numerous concerts are offered every year to the visitors of this event. The World Balloon Trophy will take place from Wednesday 11 to Sunday, July 15, 2012. The days of Saturday and Sunday are traditionally targeted at the general public and particularly families and children. The Night Glow event will take place on Saturday 14 July 2012 at 22:30.
