The Grand Ducal Police have reported that, shortly before midnight on Friday 30 May 2025, they received reports of a shot being fired on Rue de Bonnevoie in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie, with two vehicles allegedly fleeing after the shooting.
Shortly later, a person with a superficial gunshot wound was reported to the emergency room of a hospital in Luxembourg City. Investigations by the police revealed that the injury was related to the incident.
According to the police, the extent of any relationship between the victim and the perpetrator must be clarified as part of the investigation: in this context, they managed to identify one of the two drivers of the fleeing vehicles, and they conducted a search of his home. They confiscated a large quantity of drugs and cash, and they arrested him on the orders of the public prosecutor's office.
Further investigations into the shooting are being undertaken.
