Details:
The Luxembourg Centre for Architecture (LUCA) has announced details of its forthcoming conference “Initiating a Cooperative” which will be held on Wednesday 19 March 2025 at its premises in Luxembourg-Clausen (1 Rue de la Tour Jacob), starting at 18:30.
LUCA is a private, non-profit foundation which, since its creation in 1992 under the name "Foundation of Architecture and Engineering”, has promoted the quality of buildings and their environments as an essential value in contemporary society. It presents itself as a platform for exchange and action, catering to an audience ranging from the curious amateur or engaged citizen to the political decision-maker or professional actor.
The conference, part of LUCA’s “Our New Housing” exhibition, will feature German architect and board member of Kooperative Grossstadt (Munich), Markus Sowa.
The Kooperative Grossstadt (KOOGRO) was founded in 2015 by sixteen people who took a critical position on the conditions and results of housing construction in Munich (Germany) with the aim of “doing it better”. KOOGRO projects aim to contribute to the creation of networked and lively neighbourhoods, focusing on ambitious architecture, the implementation of communal and solidarity-based forms of living and achieving sustainable standards in housing.
The event is free and will take place in English.
