The City of Luxembourg is organising a chain on Friday 24 November 2023 at 12:15 in front of the Town Hall on Place Guillaume II, as part of the Orange Week 2023, which aims to combat violence against girls and women.
The City of Luxembourg called on the general public to form an “orange” human chain in large numbers for this awareness and solidarity event. In order to give more weight to the action, participants are encouraged to wear orange-coloured clothing or accessories.
Furthermore, from 25 November to 10 December 2023, the Town Hall, Villa Vauban, the Grand Théâtre tower, the Ban de Gasperich water tower and the trees in Place d'Armes will be illuminated in orange.
Orange Week is coordinated at the national level by the National Council of Women of Luxembourg (Conseil National des Femmes au Luxembourg – CNFL) and the Luxembourg section of Zonta International.
