Details:

Following the success of past editions, City Open Air Cinema, presented by the Cinémathèque de la Ville de Luxembourg, will return to Luxembourg City from Friday 22 to Saturday 30 July 2022.

Public screenings will be held daily at 21:30 on the forecourt of the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg-Ville. Films will be projected on a giant screen (14x18 metres), with more than 500 seats available each evening.

This year's programme once again offers a mix of classic and contemporary films, as well as cult films.

A screening of Death on the Nile (in English with French subtitles), the latest Hercule Poirot mystery, will kick off the programme on Friday 22 July 2022.

A brief introduction will be provided before each screening. Spectators will also have the opportunity to have drinks or snacks on site. Screenings will go ahead even in the case of rain.

All screenings are free and open to the public. They take place on a first come, first served basis; reservations are not possible.
