The "Collectif 7 Octobre Luxembourg" continued its weekly vigils with a gathering in Luxembourg City this past weekend, again calling for the "immediate and unconditional release" of the hostages still held in Gaza by Hamas.
On Saturday 1 March 2025, participants gathered for the latest demonstration in Luxembourg-Ville.
They held orange balloons "to mourn and show our respect to the Bibas family, who [were] kidnapped and murdered in a savage way while in captivity". The organisers recalled that Kfir Bibas was just nine months old when he was kidnapped alongside his four-year-old brother, Ariel, and their mother, Shiri.
A number of people paid their respects to the Bibas family and the hostages at the recent gathering in Luxembourg City.
About 59 hostages taken during Hamas' attacks on Israel on 7 October 2023 are still believed to be in Gaza.
