Details:
The CID Fraen an Gender information centre and the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) are organising, under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, an event with German activist and feminist Kristina Lunz at Cercle Cité in Luxembourg-Ville on Friday 22 April 2022, from 18:00 to 20:00.
According to the event organisers, international relations and foreign policy are characterised by the right of the strongest and power struggles between white men. For decades, feminists have been campaigning for alternatives and ways to sustainable peace. Is a fundamental paradigm shift possible in times when already six countries (including Luxembourg) call their foreign policy feminist?
Kristina Lunz is a political scientist, activist and co-founder of the Berlin Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy. In Luxembourg, she will read excerpts from her book "The Future of Foreign Policy is Feminist", published in March 2022, and discuss war, rearmament, development cooperation and the role of civil society, among other topics, with journalist Isabel Spigarelli.
This lecture and talk, called "A Feminist Perspective on Foreign Policy", will take place in German with translation into English.
Free admission. Registration via email: bureau@cid-fg.lu or via tel.: 241095-1.
