InfoTraite, Luxembourg's national support service for victims of human trafficking, has announced that it will hold an awareness-raising event at Rotondes in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie on Thursday 15 October 2026, starting at 18:30.
Organised to mark the European Anti-Trafficking Day and as part of Luxembourg's Mental Health Weeks, the event will focus on the impact of human trafficking on victims' mental health, as well as their recovery and rebuilding process following trauma.
According to InfoTraite, 32 people identified as victims of human trafficking are currently being supported by the network and Luxembourg's Judicial Police.
The programme will feature the results of creative and artistic workshops involving victims of human trafficking, including a puppet performance created and staged by the participants to share their experiences and stories of resilience and recovery.
Professionals working with victims in Luxembourg will also take part in a round-table discussion on the support available to them. Attendees will then have the opportunity to exchange with those involved in combating human trafficking during an informal gathering at the end of the event.
InfoTraite was established through a collaboration between Femmes en Détresse (FED), Fondation Maison de la Porte Ouverte (FMPO) and Hëllef Um Terrain (HUT) and provides comprehensive support to identified victims.
