From Thursday 1 to Friday 2 October 2015, the Research Unit in Law of the University of Luxembourg and the Centre for the Law of EU External Relations (CLEER) of the T.M.C. Asser Institute will be holding a conference on 'The European Union as an Actor in International Economic Law'.
The conference will assemble international lawyers and EU external relations lawyers to dicuss recent developments concerning EU external action in the field of international economic law. Particular focus will be given to a number of important issues raised by recent practice and case law whose resolution does not appear to be in the offing.
The topics to debate will include, but not be restricted to, the division of competence between the EU and the Member States in the field of international economic relations, the inclusion f dispute settlement mechanisms in mixed agreements and issues concerning the distribution of international responsibility between the EU and its Member States.
Entrance to the conference is free-of-charge, but registration is required on Eventbrite. The conference will take place at Meeting Rom B001 on the Ground Floor of the Kirchberg campus oof the University of Luxembourg at 4, Rue Alphones Weicker, 2721 Luxembourg.
