Luxair Luxembourg Airlines have announced the achievement of satisfactory operational results for 2019 despite a difficult environment.
In 2019, Luxair and LuxairTours transported 2,148,098 passengers, up 0.7% compared to 2,132,426 the previous year. This figure is the equivalent of 49% of the total number of passengers who transited at Luxembourg Airport last year.
For its part, LuxairServices, the handling agent at Luxembourg Airport, assisted 4.4 million travellers in transit in 2019, up 9% compared to 2018. Similarly, LuxairServices Catering produced and delivered 2,295,730 meals, representing an increase of 1.4% over one year.
Finally, LuxairCARGO saw a slow down following the exceptional performances achieved in 2017 and 2018: the service handled 893,090 tonnes of goods in 2019, down 6.7% from the previous year (956,938 tonnes in 2018).
