Ahead of the Fête de la Musique, scheduled to take place from Friday 16 to Wednesday 21 June 2023 across Luxembourg, its multiple organisers have unveiled the eclectic lineup – this article presents some highlights from a few locations (non-exhaustive list).
On Friday 16 June 2023 in Luxembourg-ville, the Holy Ghost Stage (Rue du Saint Esprit) will welcome Triana y Luca, a folk and latin duo from 15:45 to 16:15, Them Lights, a modern electronica band with 80s reminiscences from 21:10 to 21:50 and Naft, described by the organisers as “brass meets drums meets indie meets techno meets party” from 23:45 to 01:00, among many others.
Several cafés and bars in Luxembourg-ville will offer varied lineups. De Gudde Wëllen will offer an open-air concert in Place Auguste Engel featuring David Numwami, Ladaniva and Jackie Moontan from 19:45 until midnight. Vantage will feature Dan Szyller and the Burnouts on Saturday and Rock Solid (in Place Hamilius) will feature Let’s sacrifice Toby, Crying Souls, The Velvet, Atomic Rocket Seeders, Ptolomea and Scian from 16:45 to 23:30. Scène Rocas (in rue des Bains) will welcome Lou Tennant & The Nightcallers, the Fred Barreto Group and The Ferocious Few from 18:00 to 23:00. Other performances will take place in locations such as Mirador, Mesa Verde and Casino Luxembourg, to name a few.
On Saturday 17 June 2023, the Big Band de la Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale will perform at the Place du Parc in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie, from 19:00, followed by Drop & Dowidder.
Dudelange will feature around ten stages across town, with musicians such as Kamrad and Tuys performing on 17 June 2023 on the Main Stage (Place de l’Hôtel de Ville), Maz and Clockclock on the Planet Stage, Harmony Glen and Skerryvore at The Zeltik & Blues Stage, and many more.
Differdange will put on two performances on 16 June 2023 at Aalt Stadhaus, namely The Ferocious Few and Stelise, from 19:30 to 21:00.
On Wednesday 21 June 2023, Echternach will feature The Nightcallers, The X and Dream catcher among others, at the Place du Marché.
On 17 June 2023, Château de Bourscheid will put on a jazz show from 17:00 until midnight, featuring the David Jans Quartet, Saxitude, Clement-Migliosi & Friends, the ENKI Quartet, the Metz Foundation and k l e i n.
On 21 June 2023, the town of Remich will offer performances at the Jousefshaus – Servor by artists such as the Duo Blue, from 16:00 to 18:00 and also at Jugendwave, notably Sixo and Alfalfa from 16:30 to 18:45, to name a few.
