The Science Fiction & Fantasy Society Luxembourg has announced it will host the RPG Festival on Sunday 8 November 2026 at the Schungfabrik in Tétange.
The festival is a day dedicated to tabletop roleplaying games and participants are invited to create a story together, take on the roles of fictional characters and shape an adventure through their choices.
The Science Fiction & Fantasy Society said the hobby’s growing visibility owes much to its presence in popular culture and the success of game sessions streamed online. Leading groups such as Critical Role now bring their audiences together not only on screen, but also at live shows attracting thousands of spectators.
The festival welcomes experienced role players, curious newcomers and families alike. Visitors can discover the hobby, join game sessions and meet members of Luxembourg’s roleplaying community.
The programme includes:
• roleplaying sessions for different interests and experience levels;
• children’s workshops introducing storytelling and roleplaying through play;
• further workshops and activities connected to the hobby;
• a vendor area offering games, books and accessories;
• food, drinks and opportunities to meet and chat.
The Science Fiction & Fantasy Society Luxembourg describes the event as “a welcoming space where people can discover the enjoyment of shared storytelling and explore their creativity together,” and emphasises: “No previous knowledge is needed to come along and find out what the hobby is about.”
