Several multilingual audio trails are currently on offer as part of the "E roude Fuedem duerch de roude Buedem" (a red thread through the red soil) project within the framework of the Esch2022 - European Capital of Culture programme.

Luxembourg-based artists' collective MASKéNADA, under the project leadership of Mirka Costanzi, the artistic direction of Tammy Reichling and a team of 32 artists, will revive the women of old stories and legends through six different stories in six selected southern municipalities over a six-month period through a series of audio trails.

August will see the launch of the fourth part of this Esch2022 project, called "Malleus Maleficarum 2.2", in the "op der Haard" nature reserve in Dudelange. Mostly in French (with various interviews in French, German, Luxembourgish and English), this audio trail invites listeners to discover the power of women today and in the past. Based on the testimonies of women from the most diverse backgrounds, having found themselves in Dudelange by birth, by choice or by chance, "Malleus Maleficarum 2.2" offers the organisers' thoughts on the image and nature of women, the sources of their power and their determination.

The audio trail is being organised as part of the "Acoustics Picnics" programme on Tuesday 2, Wednesday 3, Thursday 4 and Friday 5 August at 18:00 and on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 August 2022 at 11:00. Further information is available at: https://www.maskenada.lu/detail/diddeleng-haard.html

Other audio trails remain ongoing, including one which is entirely available in four languages including English: "De Sëlwer Roude Rack" (the silvery red dress). This audio trail takes listeners of all ages through the Ellergron nature reserve (2km south of Esch-sur-Alzette) where they can discover the ancient tale of Ellergron Castle through the eyes of a medieval knight's wife.
