On Friday 19 June 2026, the Grand Ducal Police issued a statement reminding visitors to respect the rules in place around the Upper Sûre Lake ahead of an expected increase in visitor numbers over the weekend, on Monday 20 June 2026 and during National Day celebrations.

The police noted that a considerable number of people are expected in and around the Upper Sûre Lake area, particularly in view of the favourable weather conditions forecast.

Visitors are asked to:

  • use only designated parking spaces;
  • avoid blocking access roads;
  • respect local residents, animals and plant life;
  • comply with the regulations and rules applicable in protected areas.

The police added that they will be carrying out regular checks in and around the Upper Sûre Lake area.
