The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) has announced its Summer in the City 2020 programme.

As in previous editions, this year's Summer in the City programme includes, among other things, outdoor music and activities, exhibitions and other cultural and tourist activities. Given the current situation, virtual initiatives and live streaming are also featured in this year's edition.

The programme (subject to modifications) is divided into different categories: outdoor activities and music; exhibitions; shopping; tourism; virtual activities.

Entertainment in Luxembourg City this summer includes a Ferris wheel on the Kinnekswiss, activities and rides for children across the capital and a drive-in (and walk-in) cinema in Glacis, to name but a few. Music lovers can also expect a large selection of live concerts, including the “Bock op… méi intim” festival on the forecourt of Neumünster Abbey, the “Congés annulés” festival on the forecourt of Rotundes and the LOA festival in Place de l'Europe located on the Kirchberg Plateau.

Summer sales, Sunday openings, the "Konscht am Gronn" market, the Grande Braderie on 31 August 2020, the flea market and "Glacismaart" await shopping addicts this summer.

The LCTO is also organising official regular and private guided tours in several languages and, from 14 July to 30 August 2020, the Grand Ducal Palace opens its doors to visitors as part of exclusive guided tours. The LCTO organises up to eight guided tours of the palace daily in several languages. Tickets are sold online at luxembourg-city.com and at the Luxembourg City Tourist Office in Place Guillaume II.

In addition, several virtual activities will enable the public to discover the capital from the comfort of their homes.
