Luxembourg's men's tennis team will compete in the Davis Cup World Group I play-off against Colombia in Bogota on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 February 2024.
The Luxembourg tennis federation has announced that Team Captain Gilles Muller has nominated the following players for the encounter:
- Alex Knaf (#499 in the ATP singles rankings)
- Chris Rodesch (#647)
- Aaron Gil Garcia (#1560)
- Raphael Calzi (#1573)
- Gilles Kremer (unranked)
For Aaron Gil Garcia, this is his first call-up for Luxembourg's Davis Cup team.
Coach Till Salme, physiotherapist Benjamin Chassin and Mike Welter (from the FLT board of directors) will accompany the team to South America for the tie when they depart on Thursday morning.
Colombia's team will include Nicolas Meija (ranked #534), Nicolas Barrientos (#1372, but with a doubles ranking of #65) and Cristian Rodriguez (unranked in singles; doubles ranking of #75), also Adria Soriano Barrera and Johan Alexander Rodriguez, both of whom are unranked.
The two teams have not faced each other before; the match will be played on clay outdoors.
