Luxembourg's Mandy Minella has fallen to the 18th seed, America's Sloane Stephens, in the second round of the Ladies Singles championship at this year's Wimbledon in London.
Due to the inclement weather conditions this week, this was the Luxembourg player's second consecutive match that had to be adjourned overnight with play resuming in the morning. Having lost the first set 6-3, Sloane Stephens won the second set 7-6 (8-6), and the match was evenly balanced at 3-3 when play resumed on Saturday morning. Mandy Minella was unable to break her opponent's serve and the last sent finished up 8-6 (match result: 3-6, 7-6, 8-6).
