Following her first-round win in the Ladies Singles at Wimbledon over America's Anna Tatishvili (ranked #105) which spanned two days, Luxembourg's Mandy Minella (ranked #126) was back in action on Friday.
Up against the 18th seed Sloane Stephens (USA, ranked #22), Mandy Minella won the first set 6-3 before losing the second set tie-break 8-6. In the third set, the two players were tied at 3-3 when the weather again disrupted proceedings after one hour and 49 minutes played. The match is due to continue on Saturday morning on Court 11.
