Luxembourg swimming federation, the FLNS, is sending six of its athletes to Rome this weekend to compete in the 2021 Sette Colli Trophy competition.

From Friday 25 to Sunday 27 June 2021, the 58th edition of Sette Colli Trophy will take place in the Stadio Foro Italico in Rome. For the hosts and the international teams, this marks the last chance to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics, which start in Tokyo next month.

In addition to top Italian athletes, the competition is bringing together teams from Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Greece, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Israel, Kazakhstan, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, India, New Zealand and the Philippines.

Representing Luxembourg are Monique Olivier, Max Mannes, Remi Fabiani, Joao Carneiro, Raphael Stacchiotti and Pit Brandenburger.

While Monique Olivier, Pit Brandenburger and Max Mannes are hoping to further improve their Olympic B standards, for Joao Carneiro and Raphael Stacchiotti, the competition is a stopover on the way to the European Junior Championships (6 to 10 July) or to the Olympic Games (swimming competitions: 24 July to 1 August) in Tokyo.

After an eight-month break from competition, Remi Fabiani finally wants to prove his good training performance and achieve best times for his US swim team at California Baptist University.

- Raphael Stacchiotti: 100 m backstroke on Friday, 50 m breaststroke on Saturday and 200 m medley on Sunday

- Pit Brandenburger: 100 m freestyle on Saturday, 200 m freestyle on Sunday

- Max Mannes: 100 m backstroke on Friday, 50 m backstroke on Saturday, 200 m freestyle on Sunday

- Remi Fabiani: 50 m freestyle on Friday, 100 m freestyle on Saturday, 200 m backstroke on Sunday

- Joao Carneiro: 100 m butterfly on Friday, 200 m butterfly on Saturday, 200 m medley on Sunday

- Monique Olivier: 200 m freestyle on Friday, 400 m freestyle on Sunday
