After her record races in the 50 and 100m freestyle at the start of the International Swimming League 2020 at the end of October, Luxembourg's best sprinter Julie Meynen drew attention again today.

In the seventh preliminary round race, the 23-year-old set a new national record in a 50m freestyle race in 24.75 seconds, improving her best time by one hundredth of a second. Before that she already swam in the 100m freestyle for the Toronto Titans and finished sixth in 53.92 seconds.

With 391 points, the Toronto Titans finished third behind Team Iron with Katinka Hosszu (448) and Team Energy Standard with Sarah Sjöström (613). The semi-finals of the best eight teams on 14-15 November are now within reach.

From 16 October to 21 November, the International Swimming League 2020 is taking place in the Duna Arena in Budapest. Around 300 of the best swimmers in the world compete against each other on the short course in ten different teams. Luxembourg's best sprinter Julie Meynen has joined the Canadian team "Toronto Titans" and will be competing again in the fifth preliminary round this coming weekend.
