Following setting Olympic qualifying time in Wednesday morning's heats of the 200m Individual Medley at the Swimming World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea, Luxembourg's Raphael Stacchiotti swam in the semi-finals.
He managed to complete the distance in 2:00.26, his fourth fastest time; however, he could not repeat his form from the heats when he set a time of 1:59.62. In the final standings he finished 16th.
"It was a great feeling to swim in the World Cup semi-final against the best in the world. My main goal was the ticket for Tokyo, I achieved that, the rest was a bonus and I enjoyed it", Raphael summed up his race.
