On Thursday 11 June 2026, local fashion boutiques came together for the second edition of Fashion Beaumont, an afterwork event dedicated to fashion, creativity and community on Rue Beaumont in Luxembourg-Ville.
The evening showcased the latest collections and a selection of distinctive designs, ranging from summer dresses and evening wear to handcrafted accessories, eyewear and footwear, according to the organisers.
The five participating businesses, La Malle de Lux, Friendship Colours of the Chars, Les Sûtras, Optikstudio and Mim'z by Julie, highlighted their commitment to exclusivity, sustainability, style and quality. Visitors explored curated fashion collections, artisan accessories and handwoven textiles while enjoying live music, networking opportunities, late night shopping and food provided by Italian delicatessen GalliGalli.
Speaking with Chronicle.lu alderman of the City of Luxembourg (VdL) Maurice Bauer praised the initiative, describing it as an example of a vibrant shopping street. "This is really the sign of a living and very proactive street and shopkeepers," he said. He added that the VdL supports such initiatives because they help businesses work together and transform a shopping street into an experience, encouraging other streets to organise similar events.
Philippine Dobrzensky of La Malle de Lux, one of the organisers, explained that this year's edition received support from the VdL and brought together five businesses. She said the aim was "to highlight this Rue Beaumont" and celebrate its independent shops, noting that although the street sits just behind Grand Rue, it offers a diverse mix of fashion, food and local businesses that deserve greater visibility and support.
Zenia Dutta Roy, founder of Les Sûtras, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, said the brand aims to connect cultures through fashion and craftsmanship. Originally from India, she explained that the name "Sûtras" means "threads" in Sanskrit and represents "threads of love". She added that the brand promotes Indian craftsmanship for the European market while encouraging people to come together and support one another. Through the Luxembourg India association, the business also supports children's education in India.
