Cactus has announced that the 46th edition of its annual French wine festival, "Festival des Grands Vins de France", will take place from Monday 10 to Sunday 23 October 2022.
During this year's festival, Cactus will present a selection of 571 wines and champagnes, including 117 certified organic wines and nineteen new arrivals. The spotlight will be on wines from Bordeaux, Languedoc and the Rhône Valley. Particular highlights include a preview of a selection of 31 Bordeaux wines from the 2020 vintage.
Wines from the Languedoc and Rhône Valley regions include an organic white Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Domaine Raymond Usseglio & Fils ando the Côtes-du-Rhône La Résistance - an organic and vegan red wine without added sulphur. New additions also include a Crémant de Bourgogne from Maison Moingeon, a first in the range for nearly ten years.
Visitors can also discover a selection of champagnes from prestigious houses, including a brut champagne from Maison Louis Roederer.
This year, the festival will once again feature wine tasting stands, allowing customers to taste practically all the wines offered in the 2022 festival brochure (with the exception of champagnes and Bordeaux wine offered in magnum and half-bottle). Tastings will take place in the galleries of the Cactus Belle Etoile, Bascharage, Howald and Ingeldorf sales outlets. Other Cactus shops will also participate in the Festival des Grands Vins de France, according to their usual assortment and within the limits of available stocks.
Among the festival's offer, 20 bottles will receive a 25% discount. This selection is also included in the festival brochure.
Moreover, only available at Belle Etoile, the "Fonds de cave" selection awaits enthusiasts looking for exceptional bottles. A selection of 85 prestigious bottles from vintages will be presented, with a 25% discount. Due to the limited stock, this selection will not be available to taste.
