
The Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Luxembourg (ANZCCL) has confirmed that at its recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), Monique Bachner was elected as Chair and Darren Shipard as Vice Chair.
They replace the previous Co-Chairs, Maya Joshi and Tony Whiteman, who had provided the chamber's leadership since 2018.
The AGM on 3 June 2025 also saw the election of two new directors of the board, Alison Fidler Lee and Maria Pawelek.
The chamber is organising a number of events in the second half of 2025, under the theme of "Green Finance Dialogue": ANZCCL, in partnership with the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, EIB, Deloitte and Climate Asset Management, will host a high-level green finance forum exploring how Luxembourg’s expertise can support Australia’s net-zero goals. Topics include green bonds, blended finance and climate tech investment. Supported by Macquarie and state agencies.

The Australia–Luxembourg Space Collaboration Forum will bring together government agencies, industry leaders and innovators from both nations to explore how space-enabled technologies and funding models can drive bilateral growth. This one-hour online session will showcase the unique strengths of each ecosystem and open new pathways for cooperation in satellite communications, in-space resources, advanced research and commercial applications.

Practical Insights: The Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Luxembourg (ANZCCL) will compare company setup requirements in Australia and Luxembourg, covering entity types, governance, funding access and EU programme eligibility.
