On Friday 22 April 2022, Stéphanie Damgé, director of Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg asbl, Lydie Polfer, mayor of the Ville de Luxembourg and Serge Wilmes, first alderman responsible for trade, visited the Mini-Entreprises (mini companies) which will be present for a week in two pop-up stores in the ville de Luxembourg, located at 38 & 40 rue Philippe II.

Until Saturday 30 March inclusive, mini companies will be offering their products and services to visitors to the capital in the most real conditions; it is an ideal opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to apply sales and marketing techniques they have acquired during the academic year (secondary school pupils aged 15-19 years old).

Stéphanie Damgé stated "During the days of the Mini-Entreprises Festival, our young people meet their customers at the Pop-up Stores, which represents an opportunity for them to practice sales techniques and other skills learned during the school year. Our association, and in this case the mini-enterprise programme, allows young people to develop an entrepreneurial spirit through learning by doing. This collaboration with the Ville de Luxembourg helps to better prepare young people for their future private and professional life."

Mayor Lydie Polfer commented "An attractive and dynamic city centre needs passionate entrepreneurs who want to offer innovative products and services to consumers. This entrepreneurial spirit must be cultivated and promoted from an early age. Thanks to the Festival des Mini-Entreprises and the availability of pop-up stores in the city, secondary school students have the opportunity to be in direct contact with their customers and to offer their products in the heart of the capital."

"Through its pop-up stores, the Ville de Luxembourg promotes entrepreneurship and contributes to the creation of a diversified commercial offer by allowing creators, artists, merchants and start-ups wishing to embark on trade or having so far only an online presence to offer their products and services for a fixed period in Luxembourg-ville and thus to acquire a first professional experience" explained Serge Wilmes.

The Mini-Entreprises pop-up stores welcome customers from 22 to 30 April 2022, from Monday to Friday, from 12:30 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 18:00.
