Luxembourg company F4A - Food4All has announced its successful graduation from the Milestone Makers programme, run by the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center in San Francisco, USA.

To mark this special occasion, the graduates of the programme, including F4A, were showcased on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square in New York yesterday evening.

F4A is now back with a bang: the young company has launched its new branding, will introduce new services soon and is adding two new Delhaize supermarkets to its expanding network of partner stores.

In light of the COVID-19 crisis, which has highlighted the essential role played by supermarkets, the F4A assured that it is now more convinced than ever that by equipping food retailers with concrete tools to digitise their internal processes and educating consumers against wasting soon to be expired food products, food waste could be tackled progressively and access to quality food could be increased.

From 14 September 2020 onwards, F4A will deploy its services in the Delhaize Alzingen (582 Route de Thionville) and the Delhaize Strassen (1 Route d'Arlon) stores.

F4A confirmed that it has already witnessed significant changes in consumer behaviour since the crisis began, with users of the service wanting to actively take part in the fight against food waste and consume more eco-responsibly. F4A's solution responds to these needs by improving food accessibility, providing close to expiry products greater visibility through the F4A app at a discounted price. The app and its growing community of users have helped to sell 80% of short-dated products from partner stores.

F4A was established in 2018 in Luxembourg with the aim of reducing food waste in supermarkets.
