Luxembourg's Food Safety Unit has announced the recall of EAT NATURAL "Fruit & Nut Bars - Brazil & Sultana" and HEMA "NATURAL BAR Fruit & nut" due to a possible salmonella risk.
The following products, sold across Luxembourg, have been recalled:
- 50g individual or multipack (3 x 50g) Fruit & Nut Bars - Brazil & Sultana (with peanuts and almonds) from the EAT NATURAL brand, with the following bar codes: EAN 50676262 (individual 50g bar); EAN 5013803666149 (multipack). The affected product has an expiration date ranging from August 2020 to June 2021.
- 45g NATURAL BAR Fruit & nut from the HEMA brand, with the item number 10.41.0001 and all expiration dates.
Salmonella can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, fever and headache within 6 to 72 hours after consumption. These symptoms may be aggravated in young children, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly. People who have consumed these products and who present these symptoms are advised to consult a doctor, notifying him / her of this consumption.
