Today marks the start of the summer sales period across Luxembourg, running from 28 June to 27 July 2019.

During this period, shops in the upper city and Gare districts of Luxembourg City will be exceptionally open on Sundays 30 June and 7 July 2019. On these days, bus and tram lines will be free on the territory of the City.

Free public transport on Sundays applies to AVL bus lines 1-33, the tram line and some RGTR bus lines. In addition, the City Shopping Bus, a free shuttle between the Glacis car park and Beaumont Street, runs more frequently in the city centre on Saturdays and Sundays. Due to various events, the Glacis stop will be diverted along Boulevard de la Foire, near Avenue de la Faience.

Regarding parking, the Schuman car park (400 spaces) is free on Saturdays and Sundays. The Fondation Pescatore bus stop near the car park and serviced at regular intervals by bus lines 1/125, 2, 8, 16, 18, 20 and 30, will allow visitors to easily reach the city centre and Gare district. The Stade car park (Route d'Arlon), also free, is served by line 28, running on Sundays every 30 minutes between 12:38 and 18:07 to the city centre (Monterey stop) and the train station. Return journeys from the Gare Quai 4 run every 30 minutes between 13:01 and 18:31.

Similarly, the P+R Howald, Lux-Sud car park, free for 24 hours, is served by line 21, running every 30 minutes on Sundays between 12:46 and 18:16 to the Gare district and the city centre (Monterey). Return journeys depart from Monterey Quai 1 every 30 minutes between 12:58 and 18:28. In addition, line 1/125 departs the P+R Bouillon car park (2,400+ spaces), also free for 24 hours, every 10 minutes from 12:48 in direction of the Gare district and the city centre.
