Aldi Recalls Apple Compote due to Possible Glass Presence

ALDI Luxembourg has recalled its own brand apple compote due to the possible presence of glass pieces.

The ALDI company informed the Luxembourg food safety authorities of the recall of the following product due to the potential presence of foreign bodies, namely glass: ALDI "Mousseline de pommes", 720g glass jar. The product, which is of Belgian origin, is affected regardless of lot number of expiry date. 

The product in question was withdrawn from sale in Luxembourg by ALDI stores but part of the inventory was sold.

Consequently, the Luxembourg food safety authorities have recommended that consumers return this product to the store.
