On Monday 7 December 2015, the non-profit organisation 'Patrimoine Roses pour le Luxembourg' unveiled a rose-themed bag, sales of which will be donated to supporting Syrian refugees in Luxembourg.
This eco-friendly bag is emblazoned with 18 images of old and modern Luxembourg roses, as well as their names and years, and a display of Bourg-Gemen rose growers, the original of which, dating from 1899, is in the Musée D'Histoire de la Ville. Colourful with reinforced edges and green handles, this shoulder bag can be used for transporting various objects, including documents, a laptop or shopping.
The bags were handed to the College of Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg on Monday, and will now be available at the 'Emweltbuttek' at the Musée d'Histoire, amongst others for the price of €5. Proceeds from bag sales will help Syrian refugees living in Luxembourg.
