From 24 September to 3 October 2015, shopping centre La Belle Étoile will be holding its 'Marché de la Région', offering guests the opportunity to experience tastes from around the region whilst strolling between stalls of regional producers.
The sixth edition of the regional market will provide local products and the expertise of their passionate producers to dicover as a means of shining a light on the diversity of products in the area.
The market will form part of Cactus' campaign 'Aus der Regioun fir d'Regioun', for which Cactus has partnered with a variety of local producers to offer more than twenty demonstrations and tastings of food products such as cheeses, oils, honey, bread, beer, potatoes and fruits.
Cactus stated that supporting regional production has been part of its philosophy for several years, with a partnership between producer and distributor meaning that the product available is fresh and traceable.
The producers present will be Beo Ourdaller; Bäckerei vum Séi; Diekirch; Bernard Massard; Vinsmoselle; Buff and Cassis Pitz Schweitzer; Berdorfer Kéis from the Schmalen-Brouwer farm; Carlo Wampach apple juice; Téi vum Séi; spelt-based products Uewersauer Spelz; Bofferding; Marque nationale smoked ham from Salaisons Meyer; Eis Uebst/ Us Uebscht potatoes; Gromperen Redingshof potatoes from Oesling Aben de Jong; Grosbusch fruit salad; BIOG; Daniel Baltes organic goats cheese; slow food breads from Pains & Tradition; Ligue HMC; Korbflechter picnic baskets; Miel Muller; Cactus products Bruno coffee and Hausgemaacht bakery and cold cuts.
Musée Peppange will also be present to exhibit old artisanal tools.
