On Saturday 12 March 2022, Luxembourg's national men's rugby team overcame Hungary in a game played in the fourth tier of European rugby at the Stade de Luxembourg.

The match was played within the Conference 1 North of Rugby Europe which comprises the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Luxembourg and Sweden; Luxembourg went into this game sitting in 4th place in the five-team division having lost their first two matches (at home to the Czech Republic 12-39, and away to Sweden 51-5).

Luxembourg ran out 30-23 winners, scoring three converted ties and three penalties, against two converted tries and three penalties by the visitors.

Luxembourg will now hope to stay up, particularly if they get another good result in their next match of this competition which is away to Latvia on Saturday 2 April 2022.
