Go By Brooks will perform an acoustics set on the stage of the Purple Lounge of Casino 2OOO in Mondorf-les-Bains on Thursday 10 January 2019, their first concert of their "Another Flame" tour after its official release.
Go By Brooks will present its new album in an acoustic set in a concert where doors open at 20:30.
Laetitia Koener's solo project - a big fan of the poet, novelist and singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen - evolved into the group which has grown since its creation in 2013 to stand out largely from this acoustic folk side. The cliché of the young blonde woman alone on the guitar, Laetitia wanted to focus on electric instruments and move into a more pop-rock and classic rock repertoire.
From one, then three, to today consisting of five members, Go By Brooks has found its balance. This virtuosity, the conservatoire's classical teaching, not to mention this touch of madness-funk added to the rather dark lyrics of Laetitia, have finally found their way and give the songs that particular melancholy sound that is the group's signature. Fine and subtle, the pieces leave plenty of room for instrumental solos, but can also end with thunderous guitar duets on stage.
Their first EP, "Rivers", was released in 2015 and the second, "Oceans", in 2016. Since then, concerts in Luxembourg and the Greater Region have been chained, especially in 2017, where they performed in Luxembourg as well as in Metz, Saarbrücken, Trier and Arlon. Go By Brooks presented its brand new album "Another Flame" at the Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette on 8 December 2018.
