
Luxembourg's Ministry of Education, Children and Youth has announced that a total of 3,778 students are registered for the 2025 secondary school leaving examinations.
The written tests for the final exams for classical and general secondary education will start on Monday 19 May 2025.
A total of 3,778 students, including 2,145 young women (56.8%) and 1,633 young men (43.2%), are registered for the 2025 summer exam session.
Registrations for the various leaving exams are distributed as follows:
- classical secondary school leaving exam: 1,650 students (934 female and 716 male);
- general secondary school leaving exam: 2,128 students (1,211 female and 917 male).
In addition, 36 evening class students (22 female and fourteen male) will also sit their final exams.
A total of 1,588 members of 255 examination boards will evaluate the written, oral and practical tests.
As reported by the ministry, Luxembourg's Minister of Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, "wishes all candidates every success in these examinations, which will conclude their secondary school studies and pave the way for higher education or the workforce".
