The Anglican Church in Luxembourg has announced the start of its preparations for Advent and Christmas with a service on Sunday 3 December 2023; Advent is the beginning of the liturgical year in Western Christianity and prepares for the commemoration of the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day, 25 December.
Sunday 3 December at 17:00: Advent Evensong, at the Konvikt Chapel
Sunday 10 December at 18:00: Carols by Candlelight, at the Konvikt Chapel
Sunday 17 December at 10:45: Christmas Around the World for All Ages, at the Konvikt Chapel
Sunday 24 December (Christmas Eve) at 23:00: Midnight Holy Communion, at the Konvikt Chapel. A Holy Communion BCP will also take place at 09:30 on the same day, followed by a Christingle Service at 16:00.
Sunday 25 December (Christmas Day) at 10:45: Holy Communion, at the Konvikt Chapel. A service for all ages on Christmas morning.
The Konvikt Chapel is located at 5 Avenue Marie-Thérèse, L-2132 Luxembourg (next to the Hotel Parc Belle-Vue).
