The Anglican Church of Luxembourg has announced that, in response to the worsening COVID-19 situation and the additional measures introduced by the Luxembourg government, it has suspended face to face indoor services/events until further notice and is seeking to find creative alternatives online and outdoors.

This also impacts on the traditional Remembrance Sunday Service planned for Sunday 8 November 2020 which is usually held in the Konvikt Chapel on Ave Marie-Therese in Luxembourg-ville.

After consultation with the British Ambassador to Luxembourg, John Marshall, the Anglican Church has decided that it is important that an Act of Remembrance with wreath laying does take place. This will happen at Hollerich Cemetery earlier in the week with a very small group of invited representatives.

On Sunday 8 November at 10:50 there will be a service online including recordings of the Act of Remembrance, a sermon and hymns. This can be accessed via the Church's FaceBook page at https://www.facebook.com/AnglicansinLuxembourg/

The Anglican Church and British Embassy are also encouraging individuals to visit other cemeteries with Commonwealth War Graves in Luxembourg and make their own personal Act of Remembrance. More details will be given via the British Embassy's social media and the Anglican Church's website.
