The Belgian real estate developer Eaglestone has announced their move into Luxembourg, with Xavier Hauboldt the managing director of Eaglestone Luxembourg.

55 year-old Xavier Hauboldt has extensive experience in real estate in Luxembourg. Beyond his knowledge of the players and the market, he also has substantial technical and financial expertise within the German group Hochtief for which he worked for 25 years. He is a member of RICS (international body in charge of regulating the real estate profession) and is a founding member of the Association LuxReal (Real Estate Association of Luxembourg), and is currently the vice president.

The company has also announced that it is investing €15m into a new residential project, Steinfort Parc.

The Steinfort Parc project will be a mixed-use building, combining shopping and housing, providing a beautiful green setting in the heart of Steinfort. "The modern architecture was designed by Romain Schmiz, renowned Luxembourg architect. The apartments will be equipped with large windows that open to the surrounding nature. Balconies and terraces will fully enjoy the beauty of the setting. This project perfectly meets the expectations of young families. Work will start soon. The construction will take about two years," sayid Xavier Hauboldt.

Statec, Luxembourg's national statistics office, has estimated that around 6,500 new homes are required to be constructed each year.

Its activities cover €350m of developments, of which 73% of its turnover are residential projects, 21% offices and 6% commercial.
