On the afternoon of Thursday 19 September 2024, Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, reported that train traffic was interrupted between Bettembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette.
Due to a technical issue involving the footbridge at Schifflange railway station, trains are currently disrupted in both directions between Bettembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette.
The CFL has set up a replacement bus service, with direct buses running between the Bettembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette train stations.
Maintenance teams are on-site to resolve the problem, although the CFL could not yet confirm how long the disruption would last.
