The Grand Ducal Police have reported that an individual suffered serious injuries in a work accident which took place in southern Luxembourg in the early hours of Tuesday 24 October 2023.
The accident occurred around 01:00 on Tuesday when the individual was hit by a train while working on the tracks near the Wolser industrial zone, between Bettembourg and Dudelange.
The victim suffered serious injuries. After receiving emergency medical treatment on-site, he was taken to hospital for further medical treatment.
The public prosecutor's office has entrusted the criminal police's forensics service with the on-site accident investigations.
