Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, has announced the discovery of a bomb from the Second World War during extension works at Luxembourg railway station (Gare de Luxembourg).

These works unearthed a Second World War bomb near the Buchler Bridge. The CFL confirmed that a security perimetre is currently being set up.

At present, the circulation of trains on the rail network is interrupted. Currently, no data as to the duration of this disruption is available.

The CFL confirmed that the demining service is on its way to the site.
