Luxembourg Railways (Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois - CFL) has announced that, as part of the phased deconfinement process announced by the Luxembourg government, a gradual resumption of CFL work is underway; as a result, during the month of May 2020, weekend and night work are planned.

These railway infrastructure works require the temporary closure of certain line sections in order to allow these works to be carried out quickly and safely. The CFL is committed to ensuring the routing of passengers during the works period and thus has set up a bus replacement service on the closed sections, while taking into account the specific measures put in place by the Government to counter the COVID-19 pandemic.

Line 10 (Luxembourg - Mersch - Troisvierges - Gouvy)
- from 3 May to 12 June 2020: night work between Luxembourg and Diekirch, from Monday to Friday
- the weekends of 9-10 May and 16-17 May 2020, between Luxembourg and Diekirch

At times, on the section between Luxembourg and Diekirch, work will be carried out on an ad hoc basis at night, in order to allow site personnel to work in optimal safety conditions and to limit the impact on rail traffic. Residents of the areas in question will be informed in advance concerning work taking place at night near their homes; the CFL has stated that it is ensuring that they do everything possible to limit the nuisance caused to the bare minimum.
