SNCF and CFL will be continuing to support France-Luxembourg commuters next week through the provision of higher capacity trains for rush hour.
French residents working in Luxembourg have undergone increased Customs and Police checks at the French border following the attacks in Paris on friday 13 November 2015.
The CFL and SNCF therefore decided to provide more high capacity trains and peak travelling times to cater to people needing to cross the border for work-related reason. This initiative was initially offered on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday earlier this week and will continue on to next week, from Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 November 2015.
An extra 2,500 places will be offered on the Metz-Thionville-Luxembourg line in the mornings, with an additional supply of 660 seats in the evenings.
