Luxembourg's Ministry of Education, Children and Youth has announced that a total of 3,748 students are registered for the 2024 secondary school leaving examinations.

The written tests for the final exams for classical and general secondary education will start on Wednesday 22 May 2024.

A total of 3,748 candidates, including 2,118 young women (56.5%) and 1,630 young men (43.5%), are registered for the 2024 summer session.

Registrations for the various end-of-study exams are distributed as follows:

- Classic secondary school leaving exam: ​​1,701 students (955 female and 746 male students);
- General secondary school leaving exam: 2,047 students (1,163 female and 884 male students);
- Fifteen evening class students (ten young women and five young men) will also sit their final exams.

A total of 1,603 members of 259 examination boards will evaluate the written, oral and practical tests.

As reported by the ministry, Luxembourg's Minister of Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, "wishes great success" to students about to sit their secondary school leaving examinations.
