Luxembourg's Ministry of Education, Children and Youth has announced that a total of 3,380 pupils are registered for the 2021 secondary school leaving examinations.

The written exams for the end of studies exams for classical and general secondary education start on Monday 17 May 2021.

A total of 3,380 candidates, including 1,976 young women (58.5%) and 1,404 young men (41.5%), are registered for the 2021 summer session.

Registrations for the various end-of-study exams are spread as follows:

• Classic secondary school leaving exam: 1,578 ​​pupils (901 young women and 677 young men);
• General secondary school leaving exam: 1,785 pupils (1,062 young women and 723 young men);
• Seventeen evening class students (thirteen young women and four young men) will take the final exams.

Written, oral and practical tests are assessed by 1,385 members of 225 examination boards.

The exams are being carried out in strict compliance with the barrier gestures decided by the government to protect the health of pupils and teaching staff as much as possible while combating the spread of COVID-19.
