The Kalinka Russian School has announced that it is holding a public lecture entitled "Space - look, learn, admire" on Saturday 16 November 2019 at 11:50 at the Lycée technique des Arts et Métiers (Room 305; 19 Rue Guillaume Schneider, L-2522 Luxembourg).

The lecture, delivered by Physics Professor and author Natalia Parfentieva, is the inaugural event of the Russian-Luxembourg student exchange project "Space Together". Sponsored by the East-West United Bank, this new joint Russian-Luxembourg educational project is aimed at the development of youth international cooperation, educational activities in the field of space exploration, modelling of space events and career guidance aimed at choosing a space-related profession for students in both countries.

The project will include lectures by famous Russian and Luxembourgish scientists, joint online and offline conferences, seminars and forums and visits to museums, research centres and other organisations related to space and modern technologies. Following the learning by doing approach, students will work on their own projects under the guidance of experienced mentors. One highlight of the project is the regular exchange of students between Luxembourg and Russia.

The project is implemented with the participation of Luxembourg's Ministry of Education, the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) and the Lycée technique des Arts et Métiers.
