The Maison du Grand-Duc has reported that Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg received Luc Frieden in audience at the Grand Ducal Palace on Wednesday 8 November 2023 for an update on coalition talks.
Luc Frieden, tasked (as "formateur") by Grand Duke Henri with forming the next Luxembourg government, had already mentioned at a press conference on Monday 6 November 2023 that he would provide the Grand Duke on Wednesday with an update on the progress of coalition negotiations aimed at creating the new government.
This meeting went ahead as planned, although no further details were disclosed.
During Monday's press conference, Luc Frieden had also told journalists he expected the talks to come to a close by the end of next week.
