At the Small States of Europe Games 2017 in San Marino this week, Luxembourg’s sports minister, Romain Schneider, met with his San Marino counterpart, Marco Podeschi on Wednesday.
At the official reception in the historic centre of San Marino in honour of the Luxembourg delegation present at the Games, Minister Schneider and the president of the Luxembourg Olympic and Sports Committee (COSL), André Hoffmann, were unanimous in recalling the importance of these games for Luxembourgish athletes, especially the youngest, considering that these JPEEs constitute a compulsory point of departure and at the same time a springboard for athletes.
They also noted the excellent team spirit of this Luxembourg delegation to the 2017 JPEE, noting that Luxembourg’s athletes continue to be among the best ambassadors for the country on the European and international level.
